Child Safety Outlets
When it's time to child-proof your home, in addition to covering sharp objects and fencing off stairs, you'll want to prevent your children from sticking things into electrical outlets. Tamper-proof electrical outlets contain automatic shutters that do not allow foreign objects to be inserted into them. These outlets only allow two pronged items inserted simultaneously to enter the outlet, reducing the risk of a single pronged item, such as a hairpin or paper clip, being inserted.
