When it comes to protecting your computers, televisions, and large appliances we all want to be prepared.
How do we protect our home and appliances from surges?
There are a few things we can do to protect our appliances and homes from surges.
When you leave the home for more than a couple hours such as overnight or for the weekend, unplug things like televisions, coffee makers, computers.
Invest in surge protectors.
Make sure to not to overload any outlet.
Invest in a whole home generator
Let’s look at surge protectors
When it comes to surge protectors there are a couple types available.
The cord extension surge protectors, which you may see on things like television sets, cable boxes, and computers.
The whole house surge protector which are installed in your electrical panel. These are installed to stop the surge from going through the whole house.
If you are interested in a whole house surge protector, you can call Safe Electrical Service or another licensed electrican who knows how to install these types of protectors.
Even if the directions look simple it is much safer to hire an electrical service to install these types of items.
The whole home Generator
The whole home generator will provide electricity to the home during power outages.
One brand that is very good and highly recommended is Generac.
As with the whole house surge protector, it is always best to hire an electrician to wire the generator to your electrical panel in order to make sure that the line is safe not only for your home but also electrical line workers during a power outage.
How do you know which to buy?
When deciding on what to buy it will depend on several factors
Do you suffer many power outages or surges in the area you live?
Do you have many large expensive appliances to safegaurd?
When it comes to computers; do you want enough time to shut down the computer safely?
During a power outage do you have medical equipment that you need to run?
Do you want to keep food frozen and cold?
These are all things that must be considered when deciding on a surge protector or a whole home generator.
If you have medical equipment you need to run then the best choice just may be the whole house generator.
If you simply want enough time to shut down a computer and protect smaller appliances then a whole house surge protector may be the right decision.
Home lightning protection systems can help prevent your home or business being struck by lightning.
How the lightning protection system works
Lightning will follow a path to ground; these can be anything from lines for phone, cable, electrical lines, water, or gas, to structures.
Structures can be your home or a business and range from wood to steel.
What are the hazards of a lightning strike?
There are four general hazards of a lightning strike;
Fire
Damage to building materials
Damage to appliances
Side strikes
Will adding a lightning protection system prevent a lightning strike? No, but it could save your appliances and keep your home or business safe from damage to building materials.
Lightning Protection FAQs
Will having a home lightning protection system attract lightning strikes? No, but they cannot direct or influence where lightning hits.
Can just anyone install a home lightning protection system? No, you need to hire a pro like Safe Electrical Service to install the home lightning protection system for you.
Will any lightning protection work for my home or business? No, each system is specifically designed for the building.
What does a lightning protection specifically work for?
When it comes to lightning protection systems, they will protect the structure.
It will help prevent fire and building material damage during the storm.
What they will not protect is appliances; these things should always be unplugged during a lightning storm.
You can also get surge protectors for things like appliances such as televisions, computers, and small appliances; but again, these things should be unplugged during a storm.
Home lightning protection systems in Chicago
As Chicago receives a fair amount of lightning strikes, actually more strikes than other places, it is best to have a home lightning protection system installed on your residence or business.
This can help you save money from lightning strikes that cause damage to the building material or from a fire caused by lightning.
It will also help reduce rates on home and business insurance so long as your lightning system was installed by a professional.
Finding a professional
If you wish to find a professional in or around the Chicago area, you can call Safe Electrical Service or a licensed electrician.
When hiring an electrician you need to make sure that they have a good reputation. Check with previous customers and the BBB. Make sure to get a quote and time frame for the project.
When there is power blackout, generators can keep a home cool or warm, the kitchen cooking and phones and computers charging. Residential home generators sales usually spike during major storms which mean that most people buy them when the power is out. And most of these buyers randomly choose a generator that can serve the purpose and then have no clue on what to do with it once they get home and as a result most of them bypass recommended installation procedures. So how do you go about when thinking about a home generator?
Know Your Power Priorities
Generators are usually sold by wattage. How much voltage they put out not only determines how many appliances and lights you can run but also how well they can work. Chicago home generators and Safe Electrical Service provide typical wattage ratings for most devices and appliances to help you assess your power needs.
List what matters most. Some of the common essential appliances in numerous homes include the refrigerator, window air conditioner, portable heaters, computers, and lights. When going for a generator, reliability matters. Some models falter when the output is high while others overheat appliances. This is why going for a model that is effective with no flaws is important, models such as Generac.
Pick an Option
There are two kinds of generators; a stationery generator and a portable generator.
Stationery Generators
These generators usually cost more than the portable ones and require a professional in their installation. These generators have been designed in such a manner that they are able to start automatically when the power goes out and also run self-diagnosis and send alerts in case maintenance is required. Their output is approximately 5000-20000 watts.
Additionally, depending on your preference these generators can be fueled with propane or natural gas which makes them less risky as compared to those fueled by gasoline.
Portable Generators
These generators are less expensive and can also be fueled with either gas or propane. As the name suggests, they can be used anywhere off or on your property. These models have electric starting which makes them easy to handle since all you need is just a press on the start button. However, unlike stationery generators, portable generators give an output of 3,000-8,500 watts which is not much and hence you have to regulate how many appliances you can run at the same time.
After you have decided on which generator best suits your needs, the best thing to do is find a contractor to help you install. The good news is there are several reliable electrical professionals out there, contractors such as Safe Electrical Service and Chicago Home Generators. Don’t allow yourself to remain in the dark!

If you are located in Chicago and are looking for an electrician to perform a fuse box replacement then you have come to the right place. One can be installed quickly and safely for an affordable rate. If you are worried about your fuse box or want to upgrade it, take a look below to see what can be done and why it may be best to hire a professional.
When and why you should change your fuse box.
Fuse boxes, like many things to do with all different types of houses, can vary from building to building. Upgrading or replacing a fuse box can help to keep your home safe from electrical fires, short circuits, and power outages. It is important to ensure that you have the safest and best protection when it comes to your home and having a new, modern fuse box in place will help keep your home safe and meet requirements for new, power-hungry appliances within the home.
An old or faulty fuse box can cause many issues in the home from constantly flipping the trip switch when using high energy appliances to failing to protect from power surges and causing electrical fires. It is up to the homeowner to ensure that they have up to date home protection if they wish to be covered by their insurance in the case of fire due to a faulty fuse box.
Who should change a fuse box and how long will it take?
Changing or upgrading a fusebox should only be undertaken by a qualified professional. The process is more complicated than it looks, and a simple mistake could not only cost you your home but also your life. There are thousands of DIY sites detailing how to do it yourself but unless you truly know what you are doing you are putting yourself and your family in danger.
The process of changing a fuse box will take an average of four hours in a modern home. For houses built more than 25 years ago you will most likely need to upgrade your mains power to comply with increased power requirements which will entail installing a larger power cable to your fusebox and takes around 8-10 hours to complete.
So if you are looking for a safe electrical service with dedicated experience in fuse box renewal and house electrics, look no further. Contact us for more information or to get a quote on your fuse box replacement.

I recommend Safe ElectricalThey are the BEST of the BEST!! I had a difficult time finding an electrician to come out to hang my new chandelier. I got Safe Electrical from a local association. The phone was immediately answered when I called . A timely meeting was set with Charles. Charles had some other good ideas for us. Work was done on a timely basis. The workers were great! And my husband and I are very pleased with the chandelier and our new can lights.Call Safe Electrical…You will be glad you did!Diane and Bill Fagan
Hired SAFE to do some emergency electrical repairs at my home, they were here the next day working and did a great job, would highly recommend Charles and his crew!
We called Charles and his crew to help us rewire our upstairs (which had many non functioning outlets, many non grounded outlets, many two prong only outlets, etc.). Not only did he 1. Quote us an insanely good price and 2. Do the work ridiculously quickly (they were done with everything in 6 hours), when we called them back for some malfunctions that had occurred to the previous work, they came back out at no charge to help us get it fixed again, even when some of those fixes ended up being bigger issues than they realized during the first job. Amazing service, super friendly, great at rescheduling as needed, 10 out of 10 will always recommend these guys.
SAFE Electrical is the absolute best! Every interaction with them (office and electricians) was fantastic. I live in a home that was built in the 50s with some questionable wiring. The team that came out to move a switch and install a couple of outlets went above and beyond. They were thoughtful, professional, and did an excellent job. They resolved some problems that I hadn't even asked them to - which was greatly appreciated and they didn't try to charge me more money for the work. I will use them for ALL my electrical work moving forward.
My wife and I didn't have any light fixtures in our living room with the exception of table lamps. So we wanted to add more lighting to our living room. Mitch and his team from safe electrical came out to take care our needs. They took out time to make sure the placement of the lights were to our liking, and they shared their expertise to help me make a good decision. After the job was completed, great job cleaning up afterwards. Bravo to the young man going in the tight spaces to retrieve wires. Thanks Safe Electrical
I had a great experience with SAFE Electrical Service. They always showed up on time, they put all of the estimates on paper, the did a great job with clean up, etc. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of and they were very upfront with all costs of the job.Everything in my house is working as planned and I will definitely be using them in the future! Highly recommend!
Charles and his crew were fantastic. We purchased a house that passed inspection but ended up having significant and dangerous electrical issues. The team spent a day and a half essentially rewiring the house. They were courteous, considerate, detail-oriented, professional, communicative, and most importantly, they saved us from a potentially devastating situation. The small things make the difference between service and service excellence. Charles had to make an opening in the cabinet above our refrigerator (there was no alternative), explained it thoroughly before it was done, patched it beautifully, and even fixed the trim that our contractors hadn't properly nailed into the cabinet. They not only completely protected our floors but also cleaned up any errant salt from the snow outside. These "small things" really impressed me after months of renovations and wildly different experiences with other service providers. This is a highly specialized skill and you get what you pay for. SAFE's services were worth every penny and we won't hesitate to use them again in the future.
Safe Electrical and Charles just became my “go to” electrical provider as a company which delivers professional electrical services in a timely, efficient manner.I contacted Charles on Monday of Christmas week. A fair quote was provided on Tuesday and a team of three workers arrived at 9 AM on Thursday (yesterday - the day before Christmas Eve) and did not stop working until the job was done at 2 Pm…..ensuring that my family would enjoy our newly installed hot tub, today on Christmas Eve. That says it all !!!Bravo!!!!
If you are looking for a good electrical company, you will not be disappointed by Safe Electrical! We could not be more pleased with their service. From the time you receive an estimate until the job is done, the team is on it every step of the way. Safe Electrical upgraded our electrical panel, installed new wiring and two new fans. The day they showed up to complete the work, a whole crew showed up to knock it all out in a day! Others wanted to take a week. The efficiency was very impressive so that you are not stuck at home with people in and out multiple days. I’ve said enough about the electricians but I would also like to give a huge thanks to the office manager who is very on top of things as well! Thanks Safe Electrical!!!
Charles and the team at Safe Electric were fantastic. They came in and helped me get all of my service back in working order. I had a difficult situation on my hands and they made it all better. I really appreciate good people doing honest business in times where so many people are only out to make a fast buck. If you are looking for reliable honest and professional electricians call up Charles and his team. They have a lifelong customer in me. Thanks guys and Noel you rock!
We were looking for help upgrading the electrical service to our home and garage. Luckily we found SAFE Electrical. Charles and his knowledgeable team of professionals were quick, courteous and reliable. When they said they would be on site at a certain time they were. SAFE Electrical clearly explained all the work that would be required to solve my service problems. The quoted price was the price we paid. This is a very good group of people to do business with. From our first contact to the final inspection every one was willing to help and always explained what they were doing and why the code required it. Thank you SAFE Electrical for such quick action and fair price. We highly recommend SAFE Electrical.Craig Kuhlmann
Working with SAFE electrical was a wonderful experience. Noel responded to our request quickly and even got us an appointment a week earlier then originally scheduled. The electrician Mitch was knowledgeable and did the work efficiently and professionally. He also answered all of our questions and was very helpful throughout the project. The cost was also very reasonable. I would highly recommend this buisness and definately call them again for any electrical repairs I might have in the future. Thank you!
I have hired many different electricians through out the years....CHARLES from Safe Electrical was by far the most professional, knowledgeable, personable and caring by a mile than the others.
I called about electrical problem.....gave my name and number to the lady who answered the phone 48 hours later still haven't heard back from them.......I ended up needing a new circut breaker box. So they lost my business.
This is my first time reviewing a business on any platform and that is because I wanted to highly recommend SAFE Electrical Service. Charles was prompt, professional, and provided multiple options with different price points so that I could make an informed decision without feeling pressured or rushed.I have used their service twice now and Noelle is a pleasure to work with when scheduling service calls. My most recent service call was in regard to an electrical outlet that left us without a functioning oven/stove,. She scheduled me for their first available appointment but also - without making promises - made a point of working for an earlier appointment. I was thrilled when she called to follow up about a cancellation for a service call that was ahead of ours.Top notch business run by top notch people.
After the storms we had here there were a series of power surges. Due to the age of the panel and the improperly installed breakers, there was some damage to our electrical panel (as well as some of our smaller kitchen appliances). I called a few companies and got quotes from each. I loved how professional and responsive SAFE Electrical was compared to the other services were, despite being roughly the same price to replace an our panel. I also opted to do some additional repairs and fixes that were much needed. They were on time and by on time I mean they were here 30 minutes early and were prepping to come into the house and start work at the scheduled time. Prior to starting they even asked if they were allowed to use the restroom (which I thought was a dumb question, because they were going to be here all day and I can't imagine that customers would say no to a basic human necessity yet apparently some people take issue with contractors using their bathroom). Replacing an electrical panel as well as doing some rewiring can take a fair amount of time. Replacing light switches and outlets doesn't really take too long, but can add up with each additional request. They had told me, when I had booked the appointment, that it might take a total of 2 days due to the amount of work that was being requested (which I was fine with, I would rather they take their time and do it right than rush). By the end of the day they had done everything they were contracted to do. They even told me about additonal problems that I was unaware of (such as charred wiring, which was traced to a lamp-post which is literally never used). Every employee that came through was very courteous and professional. We also had just adopted a rescue dog that is a very aggressive towards strangers. Mitch asked if he could give him and our other dog a treat, to let him know that he isnt a threat, showing us the packaging and the ingredients in the treats and asked for permission prior to giving them the treats. Needless to say our dogs were very happy and calmed down instantly. They were friendly towards him and the other workers the rest of the day. Honestly, it was the friendliness towards our dog that initially made us choose SAFE Electrical. Every other company seemed to have the same prices and say the same things when receiving quotes, but it was the friendliness towards our dog that really sold us. Our hunch was correct, as they did an amazing job. We have some other small jobs that we need done and will be using them again. They fixed every problem that we had and were contracted to do and did so professionally and courteously. Minor or major electrical work, I would highly recommend SAFE Electrical. Though each employee was great, I would also highly recommend Mitch. He was the reason we choose SAFE Electrical and would gladly choose and recommend SAFE Electrical to anyone looking for Electrical work.
Charles, Noelle and the entire Safe Electrical Service team are not just the best electricians I have ever dealt with - they are the most professional contractors I have have ever dealt with.I had a project interrupted by Covid and the Safe team was very understanding of my situation. They treated me fairly and completed the work beautifully. They have done all the electrical work in my house now for about 8 years - and I cannot imagine hiring anyone else.
We had a small outlet fire that led to us making a decision to get our entire home rewired and brought up to code. Let me first start with this company is OUTSTANDING! My experience was great from start to finish. I’ll start with the person on the other end of the phone, Noelle, she was very helpful with scheduling someone to come out, answering all of my questions, and was phenomenal with making me comfortable and easing the anxiety that comes along with trying to find a company you can trust for a project like this. Next is the master electrician/owner, Charles, professionalism and customer service at its finest! He came out, did a walkthrough of my home, and came back a couple days later to review options with my husband and myself. When it came time to do the work, the entire crew was respectful of my home, courteous, and professional. A true reflection of their owner/leadership. The icing on the cake was when the village inspector came out and acknowledged that they did a phenomenal job. My husband and I are rarely surprised and I must say the work Safe Electrical did exceeded our expectations. I cannot say enough good things about this company. We have already recommended this company to a few co-workers and friends who are in need of electrical work. I rarely write reviews but this is one was well worth it and I can only hope it helps others who are in need of an electrician make their decision.
I love this place, no job is too little. Very efficient, prices are reasonable, Charles answered all of my questions and reassured me that he will help solve my issue and he did. Thanks again SAFE Electrical Service. I will be referring all of my family and friends.
I called several electricians in and around the Beverly area and many didn't return my call. Safe electrical returned my call, promptly scheduled service (I had to wait a week for service but it was not an emergency) and called when they were 15-30 minutes away to let me know they were arriving shortly. They corrected all broken outlets in my mom's condo and my mom said the electrician was kind and professional. I would highly recommend them.
I called Safe Electrical Services they set up a appointment window Mitch came out quoted the job of replacing and rewiring a burned out panel. He was very professional and personable as welk as courteous he thoroughly explained the issue and what he see as the probably and on the day we set up he and his coworker got right to work and explaining everything in full detail. I would definitely recommend Safe Electrical Service to anyone who have a need for quality professional service Tony
OUTSTANDING! Charles and his team are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and do amazing work! The team was very clean and polite, and made the entire experience a breeze! I would highly recommend for any electrical need you might have!
I can't say enough how great this company is. As first time homeowners we weren't sure what to expect when working with an electrician. They first did an inspection for us back in 2017 before we bought our house. They charged a fair price to do a walk through and told us what would needed to be updated. 3 years later we have work we need done in our basement (can lights installed, circuit box labeled, wire cleanup, etc.). Not only did the electrician, Charles, remember us, he even honored the quote he gave 2 years prior for the breaker box. He and his team worked all day at our house. The work was done timely and professionally. Fast forward to today, we've been having trouble with a breaker tripping when we use 2 appliances at the same time (we have an old house). We were able to get him out here within 48 hours to fix the problem. Great local electrician. We highly recommend!
Safe ElectricCharles was thorough in his inspection and explanation of his findings. He offered a few different options and prices which we liked. The work required cuts in the ceiling and wall. On project day his crew erected plastic which surrounded the entire work area to keep the house clean from dust. The crew was courteous throughout the project. Perfect…
We set up an appointment with another company to do some work in our home. After waiting all day they never came or called us back. Some one told us about Safe Electrical Service . When I called Charles answer the phone and I ask him if he could do the work. He was very nice and considerate. He told me he would send someone out the next day. Mitch and Michael were very Professional and very detailed. Michael put in reset lights, ceiling fan, doorbells, electrical outlets. Even clean up the area where they worked. I am so glad I called them. They are like family to me, and they made us feel the same way. They are also on time and reasonable.
We had an electrical emergency (bad wiring from previous owner) Charles was able to diagnose the problem and give us a range of options to fix the problem that still worked with our budget. He and his crew are thorough, friendly and respectful and they know their work.I have used the services of several electricians on the a southwest side, but Safe Electrical Service is now the first call I make for any questions or jobs.
I had moved to a home in Flossmoor that needed quite a bit of electrical work. I've worked with SAFE electrical for about 3 years for various jobs around the house. Charles is always very responsive, professional and polite. The electricians he sent to do the work were excellent and always pointed out other issues if they saw any - not in a sales sort of way but in an FYI way. Excellent service no matter the size of the job! Highly recommend.
Excellent in every aspect of their work. Our home is 35 years old and needed updating of electrical based on technology needs, additional outdoor needs for lighting, a pool and spa. Charles reviewed in detail what we wanted to achieve, offered some suggestions and then prepared a proposal covering everything we discussed. He and his team really over delivered on everything promised. Would retain their services again in a heart beat.
Charles and his crew were top notch. They were able to promptly find and rectify a dangerous issue in our home that led to multiple electrical problems. He pointed out the exact causes, which in our case were exposed and faulty wiring and improper circuit breakers in the panel box. The quality of their work is unmatched as you can clearly see the difference as they take you through step by step in showing what was done. They were very thorough, methodical, and courteous throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend Safe Electrical Service and will definitely call on them again if needed.
Had Safe Electrical come out to do a 200amp panel upgrade & multiple EV charging runs to my garage with charging station installations. They handled all the permitting, the installation looks great and passed village inspection with flying colors. The price was very fair and the workmanship was excellent. Would highly recommend Charles and his crew for any of your future projects or electrical needs.
Great experience! My call was answered the very first time I dialed, my need was well understood, and an appointment was scheduled right away. Charles came out, gave me a reasonable estimate and in no time, he and his colleague came out and installed my basement outlets (I needed a both a 220 and a standard 120 outlet). Very courteous, high-quality service - I highly recommend Safe Electrical.
I called Safe Electric on the recommendation of a friend. We have an alcove room off our family room that had no overhead lighting. We were turning it into a home office. The ceiling in the room is vaulted and we were unsure what kind of lighting would be the most practical and aesthetically pleasing. I left a message and Charles called me back the same day. We talked on the phone and discussed possible options for the room. We set up a time for an estimate the following week. The input on options was very helpful and we ended up going with four canned lights in the vaulted ceiling. The lights had to be ordered and the finishing trim piece was on back order. Since we were anxious to get the work done Charles offered to have the bulk of the work completed and have the trim installed at our conveniance when it arrived. Everyone I worked with was very professional, personable, and I really appreciated how clean they left our house when they finished! We are really pleased with final results and will definitely use them for our next project!
My parents home lost total power while a contractor was using an exterior outlet. They smelled burnt odors and where unable to fip the breaker. I quickly searched for a 24/7 company with great customer feedback and choose Safe Electrical. Charles arrived within hours. He was able to safely restore power shortly after arriving and offered several options to correct the damaged system. His team spent two days installing the system changes and upgrades. My Mom was extremely pleased with the demeanor, professionalism and cleanliness of the crew. My Dad thought price was higher than he preffered to spend but I believed they were competitive for licensed professionals. Thank you for a pleasant experience.
The service provided by this company (Safe Electrical) is superbly outstanding. Charles answered my call and questions promptly along with Mitch & Corey. They all were professional, provided excellent customer service and they were prompt and tidy. I highly recommend this company and will reach out to them again if needed.
TOPNOTCH JOB!Mitch, Corey and Alex did a GREAT job for a GREAT price... Professional, Clean, Friendly, and QUICK... Not only did they do what was on the invoice... but offered and DID much more...they found problems along the way and fixed them at NO EXTRA charge ... I don't want to get them in trouble with the boss (lol) . . . but I am sure Charles is be hide their GREAT work ethic.
Charged $900 to screw in 4 post lanterns. The job took a little over an hour and he didn't even screw them in properly. Disgraceful service, highway robbery. Do yourself a favor and consult an honest electrician, one with integrity.
Charles and his expert crew, Alex, Corey and Mitch completed work for us that exceeded our expectations. They were professional and courteous. The only indication that they spent time here is the new fixtures they installed. Great job!
We had Safe Electrical Service out to do some upgrades recently. We were very pleased with the service we received. We wanted several things done but were unsure about which to do first. Charles broke down the work into three proposals which made it easier for us to decide, based on our budget and needs. He also helped identify some safety issues with the current wiring and load panel, which we had him correct. His crew are all very professional and highly skilled. They did an amazing job installing recessed LED ceiling lights as well as extra outlets, dimmers, the circuit breaker panel, and even helped troubleshoot an issue we had with our rec room wiring. Safe Electrical Service is our go-to electrician from here on out! Thank you Charles!!!
I really recommend Safe Electrical Service. They had to dig a new pipe to the garage to have a 40amp plug for the juicebox (charger) for my electrical car. They did an awesome and super professional job.
I had a serious problem with my outside meter. It was arching and causing a dangerous issue. I had two other electricians look and said it was Too Big of a job for them ! By chance I called Safe Electric. I met Charles who came in , looked at the issue and agreeded it needed to be done asap. Long story short , my entire house was upgraded and his crew could not have been more professional or trustworthy !! I cant thank them or promote Safe Electric enough !!
This company and Charles are truly a God send. Yesterday my parents had an electrical issue that scared me out of my mind. I immediately got on the internet and found this company. Charles answered the phone and responded to my behavior. An hour later CHARLES showed up himself and calmed me down yet again before fixing the issue. Charles you are great and if there is anything electrical that needs to be done you will ALWAYS be at the top of my list. Thank you!
We have had Safe Electrical out to our home several times now. They updated all the electrical outlets and changed out some wiring to make the home safe after we moved in. They hung several ceiling fans as well as light fixtures. They recently upgraded us to 200 amp service after a power surge went through our very old box. Charles and his team have always been nothing but professional and they always clean up after every job. When we lost power due to the power surge Charles walked me theough what to have ComEd check on their end and was out to the house that same day to get us power back up so we had heat that night. Once the parts were in his team completed the 200 amp upgrade in one day and they did an excellent job. I am glad I can count on Safe Electrical in the future for both emergencies as well as routine upkeep. Thank you to Charles and the whole Safe Electrical team.
Charles and his crew have completed over 40 electrical jobs for me in three years. YES 40 and i am always more than satisfied. I run Special Spaces in Illinois. Special Spaces is a nonprofit that decorates dream bedrooms for children with a life threatening illness. Sometimes it is a simple fix like hanging a chandelier but many times what should be simple is actually much more complicated and Charles and his staff always know how to fix it and always do it in a safe, economical and clean fashion. I can honestly guarantee that you will not be disappointed and am confident enough to say contact me for a personal review on my facebook page! They are that good! Kelly Knox
