Bio: Charles Otstott has over 20 years’ experience as a residential and commercial electrician. He has a strong work ethic and is dedicated to safety. He also takes great pride in keeping the job as clean as he found it. He is a certified Generac Generator technician and an expert in trouble shooting power outages. We had a small outlet fire that led to us making a decision to get our entire home rewired and brought up to code. Let me first start with this company is OUTSTANDING! My experience was great from start to finish. I’ll start with the person on the other end of the phone, Noelle, she was very helpful with scheduling someone to come out, answering all of my questions, and was phenomenal with making me comfortable and easing the anxiety that comes along with trying to find a company you can trust for a project like this. Next is the master electrician/owner, Charles, professionalism and customer service at its finest! He came out, did a walkthrough of my home, and came back a couple days later to review options with my husband and myself. When it came time to do the work, the entire crew was respectful of my home, courteous, and professional. A true reflection of their owner/leadership. The icing on the cake was when the village inspector came out and acknowledged that they did a phenomenal job. My husband and I are rarely surprised and I must say the work Safe Electrical did exceeded our expectations. I cannot say enough good things about this company. We have already recommended this company to a few co-workers and friends who are in need of electrical work. I rarely write reviews but this is one was well worth it and I can only hope it helps others who are in need of an electrician make their decision.

I called several electricians in and around the Beverly area and many didn't return my call. Safe electrical returned my call, promptly scheduled service (I had to wait a week for service but it was not an emergency) and called when they were 15-30 minutes away to let me know they were arriving shortly. They corrected all broken outlets in my mom's condo and my mom said the electrician was kind and professional. I would highly recommend them.

I called Safe Electrical Services they set up a appointment window Mitch came out quoted the job of replacing and rewiring a burned out panel. He was very professional and personable as welk as courteous he thoroughly explained the issue and what he see as the probably and on the day we set up he and his coworker got right to work and explaining everything in full detail. I can't say enough how great this company is. As first time homeowners we weren't sure what to expect when working with an electrician. They first did an inspection for us back in 2017 before we bought our house. They charged a fair price to do a walk through and told us what would needed to be updated. 3 years later we have work we need done in our basement (can lights installed, circuit box labeled, wire cleanup, etc.). Not only did the electrician, Charles, remember us, he even honored the quote he gave 2 years prior for the breaker box. He and his team worked all day at our house. The work was done timely and professionally. Fast forward to today, we've been having trouble with a breaker tripping when we use 2 appliances at the same time (we have an old house). We were able to get him out here within 48 hours to fix the problem. Great local electrician. We highly recommend!

We set up an appointment with another company to do some work in our home. After waiting all day they never came or called us back. Some one told us about Safe Electrical Service . When I called Charles answer the phone and I ask him if he could do the work. He was very nice and considerate. He told me he would send someone out the next day. Mitch and Michael were very Professional and very detailed. Michael put in reset lights, ceiling fan, doorbells, electrical outlets. Even clean up the area where they worked. I am so glad I called them.They are like family to me, and they made us feel the same way. They are also on time and reasonable.

We had an electrical emergency (bad wiring from previous owner) Charles was able to diagnose the problem and give us a range of options to fix the problem that still worked with our budget. He and his crew are thorough, friendly and respectful and they know their work. I had moved to a home in Flossmoor that needed quite a bit of electrical work. I've worked with SAFE electrical for about 3 years for various jobs around the house. Charles is always very responsive, professional and polite. Excellent in every aspect of their work. Our home is 35 years old and needed updating of electrical based on technology needs, additional outdoor needs for lighting, a pool and spa. Charles reviewed in detail what we wanted to achieve, offered some suggestions and then prepared a proposal covering everything we discussed. He and his team really over delivered on everything promised. Would retain their services again in a heart beat.

Charles and his crew were top notch. They were able to promptly find and rectify a dangerous issue in our home that led to multiple electrical problems. He pointed out the exact causes, which in our case were exposed and faulty wiring and improper circuit breakers in the panel box. The quality of their work is unmatched as you can clearly see the difference as they take you through step by step in showing what was done. They were very thorough, methodical, and courteous throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend Safe Electrical Service and will definitely call on them again if needed.

Highly recommend Safe Electrical Service; I bought a home and needed several jobs done. Mitch C. was the Lead Technician sent to look at the different jobs/tasks I was requesting and provide quote. He was able to provide additional information regarding what was needed now and also what I might want to consider given I plan to stay here a long time. Had Safe Electrical come out to do a 200amp panel upgrade & multiple EV charging runs to my garage with charging station installations. They handled all the permitting, the installation looks great and passed village inspection with flying colors. The price was very fair and the workmanship was excellent. Great experience! My call was answered the very first time I dialed, my need was well understood, and an appointment was scheduled right away. Charles came out, gave me a reasonable estimate and in no time, he and his colleague came out and installed my basement outlets (I needed a both a 220 and a standard 120 outlet). Very courteous, high-quality service - I highly recommend Safe Electrical.

I called Safe Electric on the recommendation of a friend. We have an alcove room off our family room that had no overhead lighting. We were turning it into a home office. The ceiling in the room is vaulted and we were unsure what kind of lighting would be the most practical and aesthetically pleasing. I left a message and Charles called me back the same day. We talked on the phone and discussed possible options for the room. We set up a time for an estimate the following week. The input on options was very helpful and we ended up going with four canned lights in the vaulted ceiling. The lights had to be ordered and the finishing trim piece was on back order. Since we were anxious to get the work done Charles offered to have the bulk of the work completed and have the trim installed at our conveniance when it arrived. Everyone I worked with was very professional, personable, and I really appreciated how clean they left our house when they finished! We are really pleased with final results and will definitely use them for our next project!

My parents home lost total power while a contractor was using an exterior outlet. They smelled burnt odors and where unable to fip the breaker. I quickly searched for a 24/7 company with great customer feedback and choose Safe Electrical. Charles arrived within hours. He was able to safely restore power shortly after arriving and offered several options to correct the damaged system. His team spent two days installing the system changes and upgrades. My Mom was extremely pleased with the demeanor, professionalism and cleanliness of the crew. My Dad thought price was higher than he preffered to spend but I believed they were competitive for licensed professionals. Thank you for a pleasant experience.

TOPNOTCH JOB!Mitch, Corey and Alex did a GREAT job for a GREAT price... Professional, Clean, Friendly, and QUICK... Not only did they do what was on the invoice... but offered and DID much more...they found problems along the way and fixed them at NO EXTRA charge ... Charged $900 to screw in 4 post lanterns. The job took a little over an hour and he didn't even screw them in properly. Disgraceful service, highway robbery. Do yourself a favor and consult an honest electrician, one with integrity.

We had Safe Electrical Service out to do some upgrades recently. We were very pleased with the service we received. We wanted several things done but were unsure about which to do first. Charles broke down the work into three proposals which made it easier for us to decide, based on our budget and needs. He also helped identify some safety issues with the current wiring and load panel, which we had him correct. His crew are all very professional and highly skilled. They did an amazing job installing recessed LED ceiling lights as well as extra outlets, dimmers, the circuit breaker panel, and even helped troubleshoot an issue we had with our rec room wiring. I had a serious problem with my outside meter. It was arching and causing a dangerous issue. I had two other electricians look and said it was Too Big of a job for them ! By chance I called Safe Electric. I met Charles who came in , looked at the issue and agreeded it needed to be done asap. Long story short , my entire house was upgraded and his crew could not have been more professional or trustworthy !! I cant thank them or promote Safe Electric enough !!

We have had Safe Electrical out to our home several times now. They updated all the electrical outlets and changed out some wiring to make the home safe after we moved in. They hung several ceiling fans as well as light fixtures. They recently upgraded us to 200 amp service after a power surge went through our very old box. Charles and his team have always been nothing but professional and they always clean up after every job. When we lost power due to the power surge Charles walked me theough what to have ComEd check on their end and was out to the house that same day to get us power back up so we had heat that night. Once the parts were in his team completed the 200 amp upgrade in one day and they did an excellent job. I am glad I can count on Safe Electrical in the future for both emergencies as well as routine upkeep. Thank you to Charles and the whole Safe Electrical team.

Charles and his crew have completed over 40 electrical jobs for me in three years. YES 40 and i am always more than satisfied. I run Special Spaces in Illinois.
